Editor´s week in Buenos Aires

May 26, 2006 at 4:35 pm (Uncategorized)

Hello! I´ve received an e-mail from a friend with something really interesting for all of us and I would like to share it with you. It´s a shame that the event is held on May 30th at 7 PM, because as it is Tuesday we are attending our Language lesson at that time, but well, maybe someone could go and see what is it about.
See you,
Juliana

IV. SEMANA DE EDITORES EN BUENOS AIRES
Invita al debate: Qué se traduce hoy

Martes 30 | 19 hs
Centro Cultural Ricardo Rojas
Sala Sosa Pujato
Entrada gratuita

Pete Ayrton/ The Serpent’s Tail – Gran Bretaña
Dominique Bourgois/ Christian Bourgois Ed. – Francia
Heloisa Jahn/ Companhia das Letras – Brasil
Tina Kroeckel/ Eichborn Verlag – Alemania
Koulsky Lamko/ Escritor – Chad y México
Sinéad McAodha/ Ireland Literature Exchange – Irlanda
Lorenzo Ribaldi/ La Nuova Frontiera – Italia
Silvia Schmid/ DTV – Alemania
Rupert Shortt/ Times Literary Supplement – Gran Bretaña
Elizabeth Solberg/ Cappelen – Noruega
Effi Yannopoulou/ Traductora – Grecia

Hopefully one of us can attend the event, I’m sure it would be very interesting to know what’s the present of translation so we can have a clear picture of what we’re getting ourselves into, hehe !!
